Q:I had booked a 2 BHK of 950 sq ft in Mira Road Mumbai. IN agreement carpet is listed as 580. The building is ready but when we saw the flat, we felt disappointed. Kitchen was just 6.6 x 6.6. The balcony was just something one person can stand straight. There is no space to keep a washing machine also. Loading was close to 45%. I earlier used to stay in 1 BHK which had a balcony also in living room and Kitchen also. I feel the builder has cheated us in terms of carpet area. How can a 2 BHK flat have balcony equal to none and no space for washing machine also. Kitchen also is so small that only one person can stand at one time.

What is mentioned in your agreement? If it is mentioned Rs.54 lakhs then you have to pay according to your agreement.
And secondly, builder has submitted all the required or supportive documents for registering under RERA. So, you do not need to worry. They will only charge the amount which they have mentioned in RERA registration approval.
