Latest Answer: Goons thrash residents, FIR lodged
NOIDA: An FIR was lodged at Surajpur police station on Sunday after residents of a housing society in Greater Noida were allegedly thrashed by goons. Residents of Design Arch E-Homes, located near UPSIDC Site C of Greater Noida, said that many goons led by a few unsocial elements residing in the society attacked residents planning cultural functions for the festive season ahead.
The alleged unsocial elements have not been allowing for the formation of a registered housing society, said residents. "They attacked us suddenly with rods and sticks when we were meeting in the morning," said Ashok Chaudhary.
Residents allege that in the absence of a proper housing society, basic amenities like fire safety measures, cleanliness, maintenance, clearance for swimming pools, etc, are in a mess.
"We are conducting a probe. Strict action would be taken against the guilty," said SHO of Surajpur police station, Shashank Choudhury.
