Q: Hey, What is the progress on the construction of the flyover at Gandhipuram in Coimbatore?
Latest Answer: The other level of the flyover will not be a four lane road, like it was from Nanjappa road to Omnibus stand. Second level of the flyover is around 1.22 km from the seventh cross Huyndred feet road and will end near Avarapalayam Junction.

Q: My brother-in-law recently invested in Gandhipuram, and we heard a great news that there’s a corporation bus-terminal project coming up in the area? Please tell me it’s happening.
Latest Answer: I’m just so confused with this! One day, the newspaper reads that it’s approved, another day it says that they are relooking at the plan. They should just give a definitive statement. I heard that there were speculation that now they are thinking they should shift the bus stand to outside city all together to reduce traffic in Gandhipuram.

Q: People, did the Government built the Gandhipuram Flyover? I read something about the proposal, like a year or two back. Thinking of investing in this area. Want to know if infrastructural developments are happening in this area or not.
Latest Answer: Yeah the underpass is a 4-lane one, from 100 ft road to Nava India, and the service lane is 4 lane from Park Gate to Gandhipuram Junction.

Q: When will the construction work for the Gandhipuram flyover in Coimbatore start?
Latest Answer: Hey, the construction has already started in January as per the schedule. There were no more delays this time. In the past there have been several delays regarding this project. Initially it was supposed to have started in 2011. But at that time the whole project went under the drawing board again to start over with the designing process. Though initially planned as a 3-tier flyover, there were some talks in between of going for a 2-tier one instead. But they finalised the 3-tier plan last October and were supposed to start with the construction by January.
