Bijoy - a few apartments are coming together to protest this since this is discrimination. If there are other apartments with the same problem, please do let me know and we will gather more momentum behind this. A letter is being drafted and we are looking to rope in more apartments which are facing the same problem. Interested people can mail me at srikanth.narasimhan1975@gmail.com.

Murali - our usage has remained exactly the same as before but the latest bill is 3 times as much as the previous bills. They are applying a flat rate rather than a slab rate that too 200% higher. Some of our neighbouring apartments too have the same problem - the bill being 3 times higher from one month to the next, for the same usage.

I think this is something which is unfair. What is the reason that the BWSSB is hiking water tariff only for apartments and not for other.

Hi Srikanth, The BWSSB hike was suppose to be in between 33% and 200% based on utilization, which is proportionate to the usage of water.
