The IDA is carrying on rapid land acquisition in this area for construction of a road connecting the Chhawani Bridge to Madhumilan Crossing. This land acquisition policy of the IDA has led to demolitions of several encroachments. The residents have been protesting against the demolitions so there are some issues regarding the completion date of this project. But once it is done then I think there will be sudden increase in real estate price around Chhawani and Madhumilan.
