The IDA is carrying on rapid land acquisition in this area for construction of a road connecting the Chhawani Bridge to Madhumilan Crossing. This land acquisition policy of the IDA has led to demolitions of several encroachments. The residents have been protesting against the demolitions so there are some issues regarding the completion date of this project. But once it is done then I think there will be sudden increase in real estate price around Chhawani and Madhumilan. So if you’re planning on buying property in this area then you should do it before the project is completed.

It is not only the Chhawani road, but the Chhawani Bridge as well, that is being widened. This is one of the main infrastructural development projects undertaken by the Indore Development Authority (IDA). This will be a major improvement in the condition of traffic in this area which is one of the most congested areas of Indore.
This area has good connectivity with other parts of the city, so once this road has been widened up, there will be a definite increase in demand of real estate in the localities around the Chhawani Bridge and the Chhawani Road

Yes the Chhawani Road is being widened for sure. Constructions are going on. Demolitions are also being carried out to widen this bottleneck region. It will definitely be good for real estate once this widening project is completed. Wider roads mean lesser traffic congestion. The real estate builders will have more space for the construction of properties. The property prices will go up. So you can consider this area as a good investment prospect
