Q: Hi guys :-) My wife got a job in Coimbatore recently, something she can’t afford to pass. So we are thinking of shifting there, and I heard that Peelamedu is a good area. Can anyone pls tell me more about this place?
the rent is quite low in this region. you can get a decent 1000-1200 square feet 3 bhk apartment in Peelamedu from rupees 12000 onwards. I think the rate of the apartments can range between 3700 rupees and 5000 rupees per square feet if you are planning to buy an apartment there.
Yeah, these are indeed good localities here. there is also an industrial estate in this region which is called as the BR Puram Industrial Estate. Transport is also very easy in this region. Roads like Vilankurichi Road, Avinashi Road, etc passes through Peelamedu. The Peelamedu Railway station in Peelamedu is actually one of the important train stations in Coimbatore.
Peelamedu has some good residential pockets there. Some of the pockets that are really good to live in are Sri Lakshmi Nagar, Sri Nagar, Karrupana Layout, Lal Bahadur Colony, Bharathi Colony, Stv Nagar, Gauthama Puri Nagar, Brindhavan Nagar, MGR Nagar, and Vidya Nagar.
Are yaar, Coimbatore is always a nice place to live in. Peelamedu toh is a really good place. I am from North India, and even I find it comfortable staying here. The food took some time for me to get used to, but it is good. There are also many nice roads like the Avinashi road and Coimbatore IT Park road that provide really good connectivity to the other parts of the city. The Coimbatore Tidel Park is also very close. It is close to the airport too, and even lots of new apartments and houses are coming up.
Hello, I think it is a good thing that you are moving to Coimbatore. It is a very nice place, full of life and also peaceful at the same time. And as he said, Peelamedu is a residential place, and the security is also good. There are gurkhas roaming the streets every night so thefts are very rare. Whatever you want, food, groceries, supermarket, everything is close by. There are also really good schools and institutions here, if you have kids. The hospitals are also world class, and they offer some of the best treatments.
Hey buddy :) first of all, congratulations on your wife’s new job! And Coimbatore is a much better place to live in than people give it credit for. And speaking of Peelamedu, yeah it is definitely one of the best places to live in Coimbatore. It is mainly a residential place, with a few commercial pockets here and there. Most importantly, the area is really peaceful and if you have older people coming with you, they will not have any issues with this area. All the necessary shops are also quite nearby, a five minute bike ride at the most.
