Q: Are they finally going to start the Airport expansion project? I am from Peelamedu and this move would be really helpful for my business.
Latest Answer: It has been 4 years since this so call expansion was out in the news! The Airport Authority of India have been cribbing about it with different reasons. Still born child. Land acquisition done but no money, infrastructure backup etc. Who knows when will this get done

Q: Is Peelamedu a good place for a single professional to live in?
Latest Answer: For a young professional, it makes sense to live in the centre of the city, which makes Peelamedu a good choice for you. The airport is also just 3km away.

Q: Hi guys :-) My wife got a job in Coimbatore recently, something she can’t afford to pass. So we are thinking of shifting there, and I heard that Peelamedu is a good area. Can anyone pls tell me more about this place?
Latest Answer: the rent is quite low in this region. you can get a decent 1000-1200 square feet 3 bhk apartment in Peelamedu from rupees 12000 onwards. I think the rate of the apartments can range between 3700 rupees and 5000 rupees per square feet if you are planning to buy an apartment there.

Q: How is the power situation in Peelamedu in Coimbatore?
Latest Answer: The Peelamedu district in Coimbatore had been hit hard during the power crisis during 2010 – 2012. There were daily power cuts lasting several hours. Domestic life was badly hampered. Schools and colleges were out of power during class hours, which proved to be a big challenge for the students. But towards the end of last year, things have started looking up for Peelamedu. Coimbatore which used to rely mainly on wind power and hydroelectric power has now started looking into other energy options like solar power. For example, a 1 MW solar plant commissioned by Swelect Energy Systems has been set up under REC Scheme near Coimbatore in October 2012 to help with the power situation in the city.
