From my knowledge Ujjain road and other areas of Indore have faced issues related to climate change for at the least the last four years. The significant increase in ground water level has taken the focus of IMC on rain water harvesting to a serious point. The body is now considering the development and deepening of lakes to facilitate plantation, a project that has been alotted Rs 40 crores. Additionally, IMC has proposed to develop city forests by planting more than 3,500 trees that will in turn check the pollution in Indore.

Hi, in recent times there have been a lot of environment-related issues in the primary localities of Indore like Ujjain road. And as the governing body has rightly decided, the best way to deal with it is by taking the scientific approach. For this reason the civic body has proposed to form a Climate change cell for the sole purpose of supervising all work that affects or influences the environment in any manner. The purchase of modern machines costing about Rs 4 crore for tree transplantation in the area is a major step which will yield fruitful results.

Hi. By the decision of the Indore Municipal Corporation, the city will be transplanted with trees for a new project that is estimated to cost about Rs 15.48 crores. This will be executed along with Rs. 14 crores by IMC just to plant trees in the area. Preservation of the environment is taken quite seriously in Indore as you can notice, and that is how they green locality has been achieved in the first place. The budget set out for this purpose is hoped to make a huge difference to the overall environment of the locality.
