The significant increase in ground water level has taken the focus of IMC on rain water harvesting to a serious point. The body is now considering the development and deepening of lakes to facilitate plantation, a project that has been alotted Rs 40 crores. Additionally, IMC has proposed to develop city forests by planting more than 3,500 trees that will in turn check the pollution in Indore.
