Nedumbassery does have some infrastructure development planned, thanks to the Cochin International Airport. An IT Park and a Aerotropolis (an airport city) has been planned.
Nedumbassery is beautiful ya. All those paddy fields. Untouched. Nature. The difference between here and other parts of Kerala is that the lush green will hide the sky. But here, the sun is always seen even in rainy season. Pleasant life for countryside lovers.
Nedumbassery still has a lot of plots available for taking. There are private builders coming up with beautiful apartments here and there to attract the IT crowd.
See, the southern part of Nedumbassery is completely the airport in itself. Most of the amenities and life as such happens in the northern area near the Main Central road.
It is a calm place man. If you want some more buzz you can always drive down to Aluva or Angamaly which are pretty close by. If you want to go to the main city of Kochi, it is some 25 kms.
Yes, you are correct. The Kochi Airport (probably the busiest in Kerala in terms of tourism and trade) is located in Nedumbassery. Actually te entire locality itself transformed from a town/village to a 'suburb' after that. It is a nice peaceful area to live, if you want to stay away from city life.
