Yes. He has also said that that is is reason why several of the companies are vary of investing and setting up shops in Indore. I think this is justified. Indore has to grow a lot for this to happen.

A top businessman said that at present, SEZs are not that lucrative across the country. The expected exemption on taxes for SEZ is no more feasible, with implementation of minimum alternate tax (MAT), which is costing the industries heavily.

Some state government sources have spoken about this nad have said that high land rates, poor economic feasibility and image of Indore as IT hub is yet to gain popularity among investors in the sector which is why there is no proper movement.

No. That is not the point. Yes. They have received approvals. But no they have not started their operations which is why these guys have not made it to the parks yet.

Actually, you have got it wrong. Many Companies are actually coming in. Many letters of approval have all been issued to firms. Firms, which are yet to start their operations, include YesPay, Yash Technology, Systematics, Hitachi and Link Kites among many others.

A K Rathore, a commissioner of the Special Economic ZOne development in Indore has said that only 4.20 lakh square feet of land has been sold to the firms and still a lot more is remaining which is taking up a lot of money and resource to maintain. Which means it is a loss for them.

Exactly, Look at Bangalore or Hyderabad. They first had to work on improving the infrastructure like Malls, pubs, restaurants, clubs, apartments, affordable and otherwise and only then did the wheels start turning. Indore is still a young tuer-2 city. People can't just jump into the place.

I'll tell you what. There was no proper planning I mean building IT parks does not mean that companies will come flooding in. There needs to be proper infrastructure in the city to accommodate the type of workers to the city.

This park had a total of over 5 lakh square feet of floor space and the facility was made available for IT companies back in the June of 2012. But still more than half of the buildings have been empety with nobody taking over them

YEs. The statistics from the past three years kind of suggests the same too. As of the available stats, only four of 11 IT firms have managed to start their operation from the locations at Crystal IT Park in the city.

Hi. No. IT looks like the state government as faltered miserably with their plan to make Inodre a IT hub. I mean, there is a really slight chance about such a thing happening in the city for various obvious reasons.
