Actualy, we residents challenged these 'excuses' and asked how technical failures could occur on a daily basis. In Kaloor area, power went out at least 14 times a day last week. Frequent power failures are a routine affair now.

But, KSEB officials said that they were not imposing any undeclared power cuts. They are still saying that these could have happened due to technical snags. Also, it could have been due to Metro rail works. There may be other local issues too.

Even when there were severe power crises, which forced authorities to declare power cuts in the past, they had avoided power cuts during the examination period. So, authorities should take special care to ensure that there are no power failures until exams get over.

You know, meanwhile, a snag at the Koodamkulam plant has stopped the supply of 130 MW from there. The plant is expected to resume supply only in January. I think this is also one another reason for this acute shortage of power to kochi.

Again, you can see a grim situation in the power shortage. Increasing demand for power without a corresponding growth in generation
is likely to perpetuate the grim scenario prevailing in the power
sector in the State.

This is time for the exams. Since power disruptions occur randomly, students are finding it hard to prepare for the annual examinations which are underway. I came to know that the KSEB has taken no serious action to solve the technical snag in the power lines.

True about the response from the KSEB officials. Though we took up the issue with board officials, they have attributed it to technical flaws. But the power cuts have gone on. I think its high time we escalate the problem.

Hi..I also came to know about this. The thing is that this is not just the first time that this problem of power shortage is coming. But, what is important to notice is that this comes during the time of examination of students. That's why this is so important. I think the KSEB engineers should take the matter more seriously as this has been for some weeks now regularly.

Exactly, According to me, as I am resident here, we have been continuously complaining to the KSEB on a regular basis. Now it seems like the power failure has become the order of the day.

Hmm..I hope so. Though there is no official power cut, the city is witnessing frequent undeclared load shedding over the past few weeks. There were instances in which power disruptions occurred over a dozen times a day in the city.

Actually, yeah..I agree with you. This has been causing great problems for the residents as the powercuts may even go as long as some hours also. The KSEB blames technical glitches for this uninformed power cuts. I think strict actions will be taken in this regard.

I also am a resident of Kochi. I came to know that the technicals snags are the reason for some of the unofficial power cuts that are happening lately all around kochi.

This is really causing a trouble for the residents. What is KSEB's stand on this?
