I think online payment is the best way to pay for your property tax. The other option is standing in queues in a zonal office, filling forms, and then paying against the challan. I think it is too much hassle. Instead, you can just sit in the comfort of your home or a cyber café and make the payment from the IMC website http://www.imcindore.org/.
You can pay your water tax also from this website.

Along with online payments, IMC has also started an SMS based collection drive for property tax. You will have to register your mobile number in the IMC website, where you will also have to enter all your banking details. You can then send a message to the IMC property tax collection number and make the payment.
You can avail of a 6% tax rebate if you make an advance payment of the property tax every year by June 30

Hey, the property tax payments can be done directly from the Indore Municipal Corporation website. All you have to do is go to the link, http://www.imcindore.org/, click on Property Tax and select the Pay Online option. You will then have to input your pin number or your service number in the space provided and then click on enter. The page will be redirected to the online payment portal where you can enter your account details to make the payment.
