IT growth in Indore

Q: How is Indore’s IT sector doing? Any developments in the near future? And will that be beneficial to me if I buy property here now?

Yeah, more job opportunities are always a good sign for those who are interested in investing in the real estate market of a place. From what I am seeing, there will soon be a heavy inflow of young professionals from the rest of the country. So its better to get into the real estate market before that rush hits the city. Otherwise you’ll have to buy in a highly competitive market. As of now, companies like Infosys, TCS and Impetus have already been signed up for the SEZs in Indore.

Already the state government is planning some major IT projects in the main cities of MP. They are going to be building an IT park in Indore for sure. I got to hear that there is some new policy that is going to be effective pretty soon for the IT sector in Indore. IT and transport minister Bhupendra Singh himself is quite hopeful about the growth of the IT industry in Indore. And you know what that means, more job opportunities!

Well why not? Just look at the amount of infrastructure that is entirely IT related in the city. A number of IT parks are being built and are almost completed, and the plan is to lend these spaces out to IT companies at minimal rates, so as to attract bigger companies. A number of finishing schools are also being started up in Indore, in localities like Mhow and Seoni Malwa, so the prospects of both these areas look very good.

That’s a good question actually. The real estate market in Indore is end-user driven. And since the IT sector in India is the largest job producing sector in the country, I feel that its necessary to keep a tab on what is happening in this industry. I think things are looking up a lot for the IT sector in Indore. The IT and transport minister of the Indore district surely seems quite hopeful. According to him, Indore is soon going to be the next IT hub of India.
