Q: Guys, recently heard from a friend that there’s some disgusting stinky foam near the Sundapalayam road? My niece goes to school via that Sundapalayam road. What is this foam thing really? Is it dangerous?

Yea, but I hear they have a solution for it, temporary one though till the foam returns next year. They will spray some anti-foaming agent. Your niece should be perfectly safe. Just make sure if she is in a bus, inform the bus drivers to keep the windows closed. Always better to be safe.

Oh man! It’s just terrible to hear all these. funny thing is, the corporation doesn’t know how the foam is being formed. It’s not like there are too many industries around the lakes.

The thing stinks of sewage. And it isn’t just a one-time issue. Every monsoon, the issue arises. From June to December. True people in their homes in Vedapatti aren’t affected. But, if you have cross Sundapalayam road area then it’s just so bad. The foam comes flying if there’s too much wind. Can;t imagine what infections it might cause.

These white puffy foam are basically hovering over the Selvampatty and Kumaraswamy lakes. So areas inside Vedapatty are not affected. But, ye ateh road along the Sundapalayam road and SBOA school road is pretty affected by the stink.
