New road being built from Vennala to seaport airport?
Q: I heard about some upcoming road construction project here in Vennala to Seaport-airport road? Is that true? Can we expect a capital appreciation in the market at Vennala then?
Good prospects for real estate in vennala, better connectivity is coming now, traffic jams are going to be reduced a lot. So I think yeah, if you buy the house now, the prices will increase.
The land acquisition plan is pretty settled. As per the initial plan, land owners with small holdings will be given three cents of land, market rate as compensation and the cost of structure that will be taken over. A similar package will be given to those who surrender bigger plots.
Yes, this access-controlled road will have a 30-metre width for 1.5 km from Chakkaraparambu up to Vennala-Eroor Road, while the rest of the alignment will have 45-metre width since most of the area is now paddy fields. It can later be extended up to Infopark.
As of now, a detailed project report and alignment for the four-km-long road has been readied by the RBDCK, taking care to avoid thickly-populated areas and places of worship. The road will pass through Vennala and Palachuvadu before reaching Seaport-Airport Road.
I think this will be a major help in decongesting Kochi, by providing an eastward link for Padma Junction- Pullepady- Thammanam- Chakkaraparambu Road, decongesting Palarivattom -Kakkanad Road and Vyttila- Tripunithura Road.
Yes that was the previous budget, but now the total project cost is Rs.421 crore, which is expected to be raised by Kerala Road Fund Board under PWD’s SPEED programme.
I found out recently that there was a recent meeting convened here by the district administration, where they decided to commence land acquisition thats expected to cost Rs.270 crore.
Yes you're right. A four-lane road from Chakkaraparambu to Seaport-Airport Road is going to be built by the Kerala State Construction Corporation (KSCC).
