Social security number for everyone has been a good idea, but the channelisation of funding for the social security schemes is absolutely silent.Also, unless and until it comes into usage, we can never be sure of the entire program.. National Pension Scheme is also a very positive scheme for the elder members of the society.

I think the highlight was on penalty and prosecution against black money.The penalties are as high as 300 per cent of tax on the money. In addition, people can’t approach settlement commission for black money which is a very big step.

Fiscal shortage should have reduced considerably but so far I don’t see it happening. The budget also didn’t mention anything about PSU banks capitalisation. The budget didn’t mention anything about individual taxation which should have been touched.

Its not appealing at al to the common man, the budget is good for no major issues. expectations were high and not much came out. The middle income group is most hurt by the proposals as they were expecting to relief at least from the inflation.

the overall market seems to be not so happy. Nothing major was done for the industries and all the good things were kept for the years to come. The industries aren’t getting anything right now, but the rate at which it will get in the years to come is also very low.

The finance minister has attempted to make it a good budget. Several welfare schemes for senior citizens, medical facilities and others were introduced. Nothing major was done for industrial development.
