The locality is well connected by bus and local trains. There are buses originating from Vartak Nagar bound for western suburbs and central localities in Mumbai. Thane station is the nearest railway station which is approx 5 kms from Vartak Nagar. As far the stray dog menace is concerned, the muncipal authorities have taken many steps in catching them. Now the stray dog nos have drastically come down.
