Q:Hi I am research student in the area of healthcare. We all know that mother’s milk is the best source of nutrition for a new born. Some of the doctors in India are now rethinking whether to recommend breastfeeding or not!!! Strange, but true, as the new born brain development gets affected. This was traced back to the mother’s milk. Has mother’s milk really gotten so toxic that it is NO MORE SAFER for babies to consume. Does this strike you that this is the result of decades of intake of pesticide residues through our regular diet.
A close look at our fruits and vegetable export market reveals that we are unable to export to other developed countries. It is not that we do not produce enough, but is due to the high residue levels of PESTICIDE that exceed regulatory norms. Unfortunately we Indians end up eating something that the developed world thinks is unsafe / unfit to eat.
