Availability of Hindi speaking full or part time maids and cooks

Q: Hi, we are shifting from Delhi and we might shift to this apartment society by the end of this year. Kindly share with me your feedback regarding the availability of Hindi speaking house cleaner and cook. In addition, does this apartment society have any list for vendors like milkman, Newspaper distributer, plumber etc.? Please share the information as this will help me in taking a fast and more informed decision. Thanks a lot.

I think most of the maids can understand Hindi so communication should not be a problem in my opinion.

@Soundarya, for full time cooks, you would need to do your own research and get in touch with some home service placement agency. For part time maids and list of vendors for everyday use, RWA will help you surely.

@ Soundarya, House maids are available in the Township and you can check with your immediate neighbors for effective feedback. On the other hand not many people have employed cooks as a lot of residents are working professionals. The idea of leaving behind their apartment with a cook is not highly propagated.

Yes for common services like milkman, plumber and newspaper distribution guy you can check with the residents’ welfare association and get a list of registered vendors. There are shops nearby which offer in-house repair services as well which you can avail.

Hi Soundarya, good to know that you have shortlisted Suncity Apartments as a possible home in Bangalore. Yes there is a list of vendors that you can easily get from the Residents Welfare Association (RWA). Sarjapur area has a lot of working professionals staying at a close proximity to their offices. The part time maids are all well converse in Hindi although they not be as good as you.
