Q: Hi, what are GI pipes and CPVC pipes? Which one is better to install for plumbing works at my residence?
Latest Answer: GI or Galvanized pipes are becoming obsolete nowadays as CPVC or Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride pipes are used because of its non-corrosive, more heat resistant and ductile properties. On the other hand, Galvanized pipes are highly predisposed to corrosion in cold climates and places near salty waters due to high electrical conductivity of salt despite being coated with the protective zinc layer.
