Q:I am a resident of Hyderabad. Delay in underground tunnelling of the storm water drain at Model House has been in recent news. Why is there a delay by the Civic Body?
Latest Answer: The tunnelling of drain started ten months back and still not completed. The main reason is the lack of cooperation between the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.The authorities are unable to carry out the project as there is no coordination between them.The unfinished works caused major problems like water logging.Works also had to be stopped because of the onset of monsoon in the city.
