Q: BBMP is violating State’s Fiscal Discipline Act by misusing fund provided for basic amenities or development activities. Is the BBMP had record on which they spend additional fund that is provided to them?
Latest Answer: There is no proper answer where BBMP is using the funds. The State’s Fiscal Discipline Act and Karnataka Transparency Act has been violated by the civic body. BBMP claim to have spent Rs 17,410.57 lakh under the Central Reserve Funds (CRF), however there is no such records to show on which project the money has been spent.

Q: What is the solution for the long term funds issue?

Latest Answer: Long term funds was provided by NHB to housing financial firm for financial assistance in real estate sector. But now even NHB also planning to raise funds from the market. So, for time being there is no solution for the long term issue only if the government let NHB float long term tax-free bonds could solve the problem to a certain extent.
