Latest Answer: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recently passed a new garbage collection scheme to keep the city’s slum clean.
This new scheme has been introduced to keep a check and break the monopoly of present contractors who are appointed under the old scheme and to ensure better garbage collection services in slums.
The new scheme called the Swachcha Mumbai Prabodhan Abhiyan will replace the old one – Dattak Vasti Yojana and will be introduced in February.
