Latest Answer: Yeah I’ve heard about this too. It is quite a big deal. The authorities were a bit worried about this first installation, since it was quite a difficult feat to achieve. I hear that they transported the girder from the metro casting yard at Kalamassery, using two big cranes and specially enforced trailers. The installation was done late at night, last Saturday around midnight, so it would cause the minimum disturbance to the traffic at this junction. After the first successful installation, the authorities decided to make the second one on Sunday night.
