Q: The NDMA has told the government that the cities being developed in coastal states as "Smart Cities" under the Prime Minister's flagship programme must be disaster resilient.

Latest Answer: it has also proposed that a database will be prepared of pregnant women in their 4th trimester be to shift them to emergency care in hospitals before the cyclone strikes.

Q: The Supreme Court has directed the Centre to make sure that all real estate projects launched in the country elegantly set out the earthquake-resistant category in which they fall.

Latest Answer: The NDMA, was claiming that these guidelines were prepared in 2010 and were still under discussion with the Reserve Bank of India. Even as per the existing consumer protection laws, this information needs to be spread to the population at large. It is not being done at the moment and neither is it being impose by the government.
