Your house insurance will cover risk from fire, earthquake, flood, thefts and robbery, jewellery in house (less than Rs 15000), domestic appliances, expensive electronic equipments, unannounced liability, etc. But it does not cover risk against cash.You get to protect your interest as an individual/family, protect yourself if you have taken any home loan or protect yourself from any unpredictable liability.
