Civic amenities in Chennai.
Q: Why are there no civic amenities in some of the places in Chennai? What are the councillors doing regarding this?

Latest Answer: Yes Uday, Every year, councillors are alloted with Rs 30 lakh for works like road laying, construction of footpaths and construction of meal centres but instead of using them for civic amenities they are returning the funds back.

Latest Answer: Regarding this issue the BESCOM Engineer advised the residents not to panic as they have automated system wherein in case of any such crash the power supply completely stops.

Latest Answer: It is the residents and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation who are to be blamed for the situation. Neither the residents bother to dump the garbage in the right place nor the municipal corporation is taking any initiative to clean the garbage regularly.
