Commissioner to cancel garbage contractors licenses
Q: What is the reason commissioner want to cancel garbage contractors licenses?

Latest Answer: One of the ruling parties had to bear the heat due to its failure of managing the garbage menace in the city. A higher official said that, among the total of 89 packages, tenders for 76 have been finalised while 13 are still pending. Five packages for South Bangalore and eight for West Bangalore. The cabinet has given a green signal to call the tenders for those 13 packages.

But environmentalists are unhappy. They say that incineration is not a suitable technology for India because the waste is not properly segregated.
