Latest Answer: The state government is thinking to upgrade Bangalore-Kanakapura-Malavalli Road to four lane to cut down pressure on Bangalore-Mysore Expressway and to have an alternate route to link Mysore to Bangalore via Malavalli. The road from Mysore to Malavalli via Bannur is proposed to be developed too as part of the comprehensive plan which includes doubling of Mysore-Bangalore railway line, a project that is expected to be completed in two years.
