Q: I've been strictyly advised to not live in Mahindra Hills, Hyderabad because of poor sewage and drainage system in the locality. Have the civic facilities improved since then?
Latest Answer: I've got no idea why the Hyderabad Corporation takes so long to address a civic issue especially when they consider themselves to be one of the better developed cities in the country. There are so many other problems all over the country that need to be paid attention to. For example the Takuram gate. Now the Takuram road connects places like Mahindra Hills, Marredpally and Malkajgiri to other parts of the city like Gachibowli and Hi tech city. There are potholes everywhere and the road is to narrow to hold so much traffic. This is the shortest route to take but because of these circumstances, people really need to take long diversions. Oh and even here, drain water seeps onto the road inconveniencing everybody. Lot of work to be done!!!

Q: For outsiders, Hyderabad food is famous for its spice and the weather for its intensity of heat during summer. I’ve heard of some issues related to water as well as some electricity in Hyderabad. Someone please educate me more on the same.
Latest Answer: Water shortage and electricity problems are commonly faced during summer time by the residents of Hyderabad living in middle-class and lower-class localities. Since hydroelectricity becomes hard to obtain during summer, electricity shortage is somewhat prevalent throughout the city. I’d say that these issues can be lived with as long as you find alternate sources to manage yourself within the given constraints. Residents of Bholakpur and Malkajgiri have faced some water problems in recent times.

Q: Is the locality of Kamal Nagar hygienic and safe?
Latest Answer: Hey, the condition of Kamal Nagar is pretty bad I agree, but I think the municipality has already fixed the Vinayak Veedhi road. There is a major problem of stray dogs here though. All the open dumping of the garbage attracts many dogs that haven’t been vaccinated. These dogs are dangerous as they are very prone to biting. If you have children, then the risk is worse because some children in this area have died from dog bites. The municipality should seriously do something about the garbage situation, as it seems to be the root of all the problems for the residents of this area.
