Latest Answer: Yes, at last the Kochi Corporation have woken up to the problems faced by residents of the city. Hopefully this waste treatment plant can reduce the garbage that is dumped in empty plots, and transport the garbage and process it in the plant. Many residents have complained that in the previous Brahmapuram plant the leachate from the plant was dumped into the Kadambrayar river. The corporation has said that they will treat the leachate before releasing it into the river. We will have to wait and see if the plant will be fully utilised by the corporation
