Latest Answer: About 111 structures were razed to the ground. The periphery of the road was extended to 80 feet not the proposed 104 feet, so some buildings did remain. And as for the real estate, this will be a good thing for the locality of Kanadia road because firstly, there won't be the possibility of living in a land encroached area as now, the government is pretty serious about monitoring that. So you won't ever be cheated by your broker or builder. Secondly, the road widening has actually shown some significant improvement of the traffic in the locality. Residents are finding it easier to commute to other places now, thanks to this project. So I'm pretty sure, this is a good locality to invest it. It has some great schools, supermarkets and hospitals in the neighbourhood that add to the real estate value! :)
