In the past also, the Mettupalayam Road bus stand was constructed to reduce the bus traffic, but the private bus owners somehow wrangled a permission, and continued to run till Gandhipuram. I hope that the corporation is going to get all the government agencies on board and remain strict to the current plan. Even the city traffic police are welcoming this decision. With the reduced traffic in the city, its going to bring down the accident rates.
