Latest Answer: Kovilpalayam is situated far away from the main city of Kochi, Spread accross a section of Sathyamangal Road, the locality is also known for housing Lakshmi Mahel, which attracts tourist beacause of its historical and religious importance. There are no hospitals but the locality is well connected via the NH 209

Q: Has anyone here heard of Alpha Residency in Vellalore? I was thinking of investing in the area. Is this project good? Or should I look for another one?
Latest Answer: They are giving both 2 BHK residential houses and residential plots. see Vellalore, as a locality isn;t developed yet as per city standards. That will take time, so I suggest invest in a land here. The Alpha guys are selling for 18 lacs, look around you will find cheaper than that also.

Q: People, how is Vellalore as a locality for a quiet weekend getaway. Have a land there, thinking of building a small holiday home here. Also, it’s no where close to the dump so I’m not worried about that.
Latest Answer: Yes, the new bustand has been proposed here. it will definitely improve the real estate scene in the area. especially, if they shift that integrated bus stand which was planned at gandhipuram, then the area will see rapid developments. And this move will not cause traffic issues in Vellalore, because there already iss enough land here to work with.

Q: I’m so skeptical to invest in the Vellalore area. I have been going around looking for plots to invest in, because they are unbelievably cheap. But the locals in the area have been complaining of diseases and infections due to the dumpyard. Is it true?
Latest Answer: Hey, the dumpyard is a problem. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t invest in the entire Vellalore area. I suggest you wait a bit, follow the news. Lot of protests are happening, some solution will definitely come up. Corporation will soon start capping services too. So, there’ll be some relief.

Q: Hey, thinking of buying some land in Vellalore to make a farm house. I’m happy about the prices, but concerned about civic issues in the area. Can someone tell me if there is water issues there?
Latest Answer: Yea, they need fresh water connection soon. Because, the groundwater is very polluted due to the Vellalore dumpyard. If you are planning to make your farmhouse, I think you should either apply for fresh water connection soon or get tankers as per your convenience.

Q: Guys, any idea if the Corporation in Coimbatore doing anything about making Vellalore a better area? I mean the Dumpyard is a big black dot on the area, but if something good is happening in the locality, please share.
Latest Answer: I agree, the waste management is very inefficient. They aren’t carrying out proper processing of the plant. But, they seem to have finally woken up. They are taking up source segregation of waste. This will help the processing at the waste plant in Vellalore better.

Q: I am thinking of checking out Vellalore as an option to invest in real estate, small plot maybe. But, I heard that there is a big dumpyard there. Is it true? I don’t want to end up investing in an unclean and dirty locality.
Latest Answer: Yea only two months back they planted around 1,000 saplings around the dumpyard, so that the area is well suited for residential and living purposes in the future. They’ll have to maintain these plants properly though.
