Latest Answer: Oh yes, Im afraid the potholes are quiet big an issue here. No wonder that poor guy fell to his death. The lighting is also poor around this area, so most of the time you cant see where you're going after dark.

Latest Answer: I know, its a major issue. What is sad that there were around Rs 260 crore allotted to this improving the overall drainage system of the city almost 6 years back. It was supposed to be done by March 2014. But that failed to happen because of a number of problems. The biggest reason is the illegal encroachments. So far only Rs 95 crores of the allotted funds have been spent. There are basically 4 primary and 11 secondary drains that need to be widened. But as of now, only 19km out of the 32km of primary drains have been widened, and 5km out of the 29km of secondary drains.
