Latest Answer: Fact is that the project needs more land at Srirangapatna. So now the deputy commissioners have been instructed to finish the land acquisition process asap, so that the whole thing can be done by March 2015. Actually the problem is that the new Land Acquisition Act is causing some delays in the whole land acquisition process. Railway minister suggested that the commissioner should buy the land and hand it over to the railways.
