Latest Answer: Hi all, I am agree with the above mentioned statement. And in my opinion reduction in home loan interest rates will be important so will be offering industry/infrastructure status for the housing industry. Also necessary is availability of finance at lower interest rates and clarity on taxation for real estate investment trusts and foreign direct investment (FDI) in housing.

Latest Answer: Both homebuyers and developers are expecting the Budget to offer sops that will boost demand as well as supply of affordable housing. Currently, home buyers get a 1% interest subvention for loans up to 15 lakh for a house priced below 25 lakh.

Latest Answer: You are right Govinda, Recently I inquired about a house. I was told that there was PSL cost. PSL stands for Premium Scenic Location. This PSL is because the flat faces mountains. The mountains are in a forest location which is owned by Government. Now who will tell the builders to stop the looting and cheating.The builders want all benefits from Government but never pass the same to flat owner.

The government is getting ready to launch PM Narendra Modi's most committed scheme "Housing for all by 2022". And he is probably to launch the scheme as an umbrella mission after recounting all affordable housing schemes and slum redevelopment projects.

Latest Answer: Don't worry, the Union budget should bring a significant decrease in interest rates on home loans. The Ministry for Urban Development and Housing had made it clear that it would maintain a sharp focus on reducing home loan interest rates, and the budget will hopefully bring firm evidence of this focus.
