Getting mails/sms/letter regarding increased service tax

Q: Hi,

I own a flat in the W tower that was promised possession in Dec 2013.. Its running too late and now Amrapali is bombarding us with messages to prepay to avoid increase in service tax. This is ridiculous.. we will need to pay additional service tax because the builder delayed the project. This is unjustified. The builder needs to pay the penalty as well as the additional service tax they are demanding now.

Hi Ramamdeep,
In my point of view, you check the sale deed first, take legal experts help & check the full deed by lawyer. First consult with your lawyer about this matter. It is true that, builder delayed the project for long time, but any thing he mentioned about paying anything additional !! so better to cross verify everything by lawyer. Then you can ask other purchasers , whether they are facing the same problem or not, then you can form a group & take some legal step. Before that discuss with builder first.
