Q: I have travelled few cities in India and noticed India is facing water problem. Currently I am staying in (BTM Layout) Bangalore where I face the same problem. Can anyone here tell me which are the cities having water problems and what are the possible cause of water problem?

Water Reservoirs: More numbers of water reservoirs can be created across country. 4. Dam Construction: Construction of dam where ever required especially where people face water crisis.

Water resources minister said the machinery utilized for pumping water from dead storage would be upgraded in a fortnight. The government would monitor consumption to reduce the usage and curtail the wastage of water, during the summer. BWSSB minister requested the citizens not to panic and instead co-operate with judicious use of water.

Q: Will Noida Industrial Development Authority complete the project of supply the fresh Ganga water to the resident of Noida soon? When can we expect the project to get completed?
Latest Answer: I am a resident of Noida and we are expecting that we will soon meet with our daily needs of water. Is is said that by 2013 the project will get over and we will not be supplied with hardwater and ground water but the water will be blend with Ganga water before releasing it to the city pipeline. 204 MLD of ganga water will be suppied to the city and the amount of water will be enough to meet the daily needs of the entire population of Noida.

Q: Why we people of Gondia not getting water supply for last three days? What is the problem behind it?
Latest Answer: The people not getting water supply because a major leakage has been detected in the pipeline which was 35 yrs old and has become stale. Around 8feet pipeline had to be change and it took two days to do the work after that partial water was restored. It will take two years to complete the construction work for the new storage plant

Q: There won’t be supply of water in some areas of South Mumbai for 24 hours. What is the reason for not giving water supply in that particular area?
Latest Answer: BMC said that they will repair a 1450mm water pipeline which has developed leakage and they have to undertake the repair work urgently to control the leakage. Due to repair work some of the areas like Grant Road, Mumbai Central Railways Station and nearby areas, Haji Ali, Sleater Road of South Mumbai will not get water for 24hours.

Latest Answer: Water was available in the public taps but to get water the localities have to stand in a queue and wait for long hours. Since past one week the people of Thripunitharu did not get water to drink also the situation has become unbearable so the people took a protest march against the Kerala Water Authority. The engineer said that the problem is happening due to the blockage in the main pipe and the clearance of the pipe has already started, the engineer also assured that the people with get the water within 2-3 days.
