Q: What are the home buyers' demand from Budget 2016?
Latest Answer: Hi, I am agree with all of you. But i am a salaried person and living in a rented apartment. The house rent allowance can go up with time. However, for self employed home buyers, the tax deduction limit is restricted up to a little Rs 2000 under Section 80GG. Our govt. should certainly work on increasing this limit.

Slow economy and lower investor confidence has already taken a toll on the Indian real estate market and an additional delayed approval (on account of upcoming elections) will generate a negative sentiment for the sector, irking the customers.

Latest Answer: Many middle income property buyers are moving towards suburbs because of affordable housing and connectivity. The road widening of Bellary Road in north Bangalore to six lanes made it easier to travel to the airport which reduced the travelling time for the commuters to many parts of the city, which in turn boosting the residential demand. Also the proposed elevated road along this stretch is further expected to ease out traffic and impact the real estate market in the north.

Q: Who are going to get affect by this year budget?
Latest Answer: The big disappointment was for real estate-focused private equity funds. Realty funds are covered under the alternative investment fund (AIF) II category which the finance minister did not touch upon. The industry was hoping that the tax benefit available to AIF I category (venture funds and infra funds) would be extended to other AIFs.

Latest Answer: Hi Deepak, the real estate developers have again started asking for infrastructure status. Last year also the topic has arised but of no positive results. This time they are demanding that at least housing sector should be given infrastructure status so that it will be useful for the realty sector.
