BBMP has offered the residents to make a profit by selling dry waste at attractive rates to Dry Waste Collection Centers established by them. This is being seen as a step towards attaining Swacch Bharat Mission, an initiative yet to be taken in most of the cities.

Do you know that the Cabinet gave its approval for establishing solid waste management units by Sateram Enterprises and Maltose Agri Products Private Limited near Bengaluru. Even the cabinet has fixed a rate i.e. processing fee of Rs 253/tonne has been fixed for both the units.
