Latest Answer: Yea, the MCG Deputy commissioner Mr. Shekhar Vidhyarthi reaffirmed that there will be satellite survey of the area and the results will be matched with earlier survey and constructions that were done in the last two months will be demolished.

Latest Answer: The Bombay High Court, in 2005, had ordered a total freeze on destruction of mangrove forests in Maharashtra and banned any type of construction within 50 meters of these forests. It had also banned dumping of all kinds of debris (considered a common underhand way for reclaiming land) in the mangroves areas.

Latest Answer: About 50% of these legal notices are stop orders. About 290 have been served in M-East ward (Chembur). There are more than 170 notices issued in L-ward (Kurla) and K-West. There are about 99 orders in C-ward (Bhendi Bazaar) and few more in G-South (Lower Parel, Worli). About 25% are showcause notices and have been mostly issued in the western suburbs. This includes 110 notices in K-West ward, 118 notices in P-North and 96 notices in R-Central ward (Borivali West).
