Feedback on builder.
Q: I visited the site in November 2011 and was surprised to note that there was no work being carried at site for past 5 months. I was told that Unitech has stopped all work due to financial problems. Can I get an update as to what is happening and when they expect to complete the project. I don't think they can deliver the apartments to owners by Dec. 2012.

Latest Answer: Unitech have stopped the work due to financial crisis so I do not think they can be able to deliver the apartments by 2012.

Q: A Flat is offered in Elegant Supreme (Horamavu) by a owner who is yet to get the sale deed done, in Elegant Supreme. As a propspective buyer, I would like your help to know what is the present [Nov 2011] guidelines value, what would be the VAT/Service Tax , Stamp duty and Regn chgs for a 1040sq.ft flat?

Latest Answer: As per present budget, VAT charged is 1 % of basic cost, Service tax is 10.8 % of basic cost and registration charges is 4.75 % of basic cost. You can inquire with the builders once about the charges. Do check the sale deed is done in time before transferring the property.
