Q: Bangalore is a city with never ending problems. When BBMP getting busy with scams and media, they should also give importance to the basic amenities like parking facility in the city.
Latest Answer: There is deficiency of parking space in city but still things to be managed by BBMP. BBMP has approved the sanction of private parking ventures but only by seeking it’s permission, but unfortunately the commuters in the city have no idea about this whether the private ventures or the government owns a parking lots. BBMP has an add on issue to think about and solve at the earliest for the welfare of the citizens.

Q: Parking lot is a need in Delhi city. Hope that the municipal corporation will soon come up with some plans regarding the parking lot at the earliest.
Latest Answer: Yes, MCD has some plans regarding the parking lot. Recently the municipal corporation decided to implement a underground multi level parking in the city which will accommodate around 500 cars at a time and the project is about to get completed by September 2012.

Q: Is the parking problem raised due to the construction of the multi level parking lot? Any idea which are the areas facing parking problems?
Latest Answer: The construction of the multi level parking which was kept pending for last three years is one of the cause of the illegal parking. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has traced few areas like Axis bank Batra Hospital road, Hakeem’s hotel and many such which are very famous for illegal parking.

Q: In some of the parts of Mumbai city pay and park was a success then what happen now. Why the scheme proved to be unsuccessful in the rest of the parts of Mumbai?
Latest Answer: The reason is that there is no parking board in the parking zone, securities are not in their proper uniform, there is no fixed rate for parking and even in the receipts the parking rates are not mentioned.

Q: What was the reason that the multi level car parking in Chennai put on halt? For how much time the project has been put on hold?
Latest Answer: The multi-level car parking is under legal trouble. The justice have issued notice to the government and municipal corporation to check whether the parking lot will create any problem for the common people. It has been four weeks that the project was put on hold.

Q: Is pay and parking mandatory in the city? If yes, then will it be a success?
Latest Answer: After the successful implementation of pay and park in other stretch the Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited is deciding to make it mandatory in all the parts of the city. But the contractors said that this will not work out all the time.

Q: It came to my notice that now the flat buyer need not have to pay extra money for the car parking. Is it true?
Latest Answer: According to the Maharashtra Ownership Flats Act parking plots are the part of common areas and facilities. Even Consumer court has also ordered that developers cannot charge extra money for parking plot.

Q: I bought a property from a builder and the housing society was already formed. We approached the society for the same but they did not respond. Now I have purchased a stilt parking from the builder but the society is asking to pay fine for it. Why should I do now?
Latest Answer: A builder has no right to sell open / close parking space to you against your wish. The parking spaces can not be treated as common areas by the builders.
