Q: Hello friends. My grandparents are living on the KRS Road near Hulikere. Last year there was water supply problem and I shifted them for 3 months to my home. How is the situation this year?
Latest Answer: Yeah, last year ground water had also depleted. I live near the Hebbal outskirts and we have a borewell which went dry last year, and then we had to adjust for a few days. Last year Mysore faced one of its worst water supply shortages na.

Q: Hey I was wondering if anyone knows about the latest initiative about drainage grievances in Sreerampura and other regions. Is it true about the email facility?
Latest Answer: Yeah. True that. They have Whatsapp feature too now. So you can contact your ward UGD people by texting them through whatsapp. Very functional I say. Also it ensures hygiene and helps accelerating repair works.

Q: Hey I read in the news that there was heavy rain in the low lying areas of Kuvempu Nagar. How bad is it? Is there any measure suggested?

Latest Answer: Many industrial areas were also affected as garages and SSIs found machines underwater. The MCC Commissioner has promised quick relief for now. But a long term solution is imperative!

Q: Guys, I’m thinking of applying for a job in Mysore, but I’ve heard a lot of complaints regarding the amount of pollution there. Is it so bad that I should reconsider moving there?

Latest Answer: I totally agree man, all these vehicles giving out so much smoke is one of the main reasons for the crazy amount of pollution here. You know, most of the petrol bunks in this area are selling adulterated petrol, which also causes more emission from cars and bikes. Mysore actually recorded an alarming rise in the amount of suspended particulate matter, which is basically the amount of pollution in the air. But the good news is that the World Environmental Service Organisation has begun to address this as a serious issue, and the KSPCB is also working on it. But yeah, if you get a good job offer here, I would recommend you take it.
