Details about property tax in Mysore
Q: Hello guys, I heard that the Mysore City Corporation is on its drive to collect property tax for this year. can anyone give some information about the trend in property tax collection by the MCC? Is there any penalty for late payments?

Latest Answer: Oh, I heard that the authorities are providing their phone numbers to the property owners. this is intended to provide some more comfort for the owners in tax payment. If the owners are not able to visit the Mysore City Corporation zonal office, then they can give the authorities a call and they will come to their doorsteps to collect the tax!!

Latest Answer: A lot of us have resolved that we'll pay property tax next year only if the MCC rationalized its property taxes only if MCC collects a fair rent from their properties located in the prime areas of the city.

Latest Answer: Yeah the section 103 of that act clearly states what all taxes the MCC can levy, and the transport cess isnt one.
