Q: Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has decided that Metro-II corridor will be elevated and not underground.

Latest Answer: Hi all, I heard that the Phase-2B corridor will pass along Linking Road to Mankhurd via Bandra-Kurla Complex. It will have an interlink facility in BKC, from where Metro-3 underground corridor (Seepz-Ban-dra-Colaba) will criss-cross. Is it true? If it happens then the property as well as rental markets in those locality will grow rapidly.

Q: Mumbai's second Metro may be ready as early as 2019 as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited tenders for the 16.5km-long corridor.
Latest Answer: This 16.5 km-long corridor that will connect Andheri to Dahisar via the Western Express Highway. The Andheri (E)-Dahisar (E) corridor, labelled as Metro VII, is expected to decongest the Western Express Highway significantly. Both, Phase-I of Metro-II and Metro-VII are north-south corridors, unlike Metro-I, which criss-crossed over railway tracks and the Western Express Highway.

Latest Answer: And if there is delay in bid process, there has been change on all these indices because of which civil work cost itself is likely to increase by Rs 5000 crore. As per the planning, the work is always given priority at the end where the car depot is planned. Since, the depot is going to shift to Kanjurmarg from Aarey, it is but obvious that work on Kanjurmar-Seepz will begin and conclude first.
