Q: Hello, What is happening with the Kochi Metro work? I have heard that a lot of things are not going as per schedule. How are they going to tackle this? So any of you have any updates?
Latest Answer: They actually discussed about expediting the work of metro stations and depot at Muttom. It was also decided to organise project steering committee meetings more frequently to monitor the works closely and also to keep the communication line open.

Q: Hello, What is the scene with the Pachalam rail over bridge? Any changes? Is any progress being made?
Latest Answer: Hi David , to create good infrastructure govt need land and it is true that HC approve land acqusition process for pachalam rob. The Railways shares 50 per cent of the construction cost for the ROB, and an amount of Rs 50 lakh was already allotted for the same. The remaining amount will be paid by the Railways as the work progresses.

Q: Hello, I have been hearing that the quarry strikes has been laying to waster the Kochi Metro's progress. What is happening? Will it be done before the deadline?
Latest Answer: The sad part here is the quarry workers are using the Kochi Metro slacking progress to negotiate with the government. Also the DC said that the contractors are being silly for blaming the 2 week strike for not doing their work for the past 20 months.

Q: I heard from a friend that the localites in the Muttom area have resorted to protesting against the land reclamation attempts of the Kochi Metro.
Latest Answer: This issue basically means that the KMRL has lost the trust of the people and they are unlikely to change their views after all the negatives that have been made clear to them. The whole problem came because they were not upfront about the impact of building the metro. Now Lets see how they will get out of this.

Q: Hello. I read that Thrikkakara in Kochi might get a huge developmental project worth Rs. 65 crore. What are things expected to happen here?
Latest Answer: So the drainage project will be completed at an approximate cost of Rs. 30 crores and it will connect all the part of the township to provide good sewage facility. So overall this makeover for Thrikkakara will help improve the state of real estate in the vicinity too.
