Latest Answer: Residents, however, have cried foul on this. They said that they were cheated by the builders and that action should be taken against them first and not the innocent residents. They also blamed the IMC for letting the project go on much earlier.
Latest Answer: I found out that they are looking for a joint venture with land owners. Because RBI does not allow a foreign company to buy land or own it entirely but that they can only invest. So this is a tiny bit of complicaton that they can easily get through and later it will be raining money.
Latest Answer: Yeah this investment region is about 25 km south west from Indore. The entire region has great connectivity to Indore and other cities around the area such as Bhopal and even western India like Mumbai, Ahmedabad by important corridors such as NH 59 and NH 3. Knowledge City at Ujjain is also close by to this project and will also be beneficial for the people of Indore. The site is close to the Indore airport and it will connect it to other parts of the city. Railway links are also getting improved by Indore-Dahod broad-gauge link to the Dedicated Freight Corridor and Indore – Khandwa to south India. Seems like this project has a lot of potential but hopefully no developmental delays will take place as usual.
Q:Can someone give me information on the Indore Development Authority's project on building more number of low cost houses? Won't it boost real estate value in the city?
Latest Answer: Even builders are getting very annoyed with these schemes. They feel that is their services need to be rendered towards the poor for free then why can't other sectors apart from real estate also do just that? For example why can't a hotel owner give free food to the poor? Based on this thought process, the government was willing to make funds available to these private builders on cheaper terms and many incentives have also been provided to them. I really doubt that the increase in low cost houses will have a direct effect on real estate in the city. I don't even think enough low income groups will invest these houses because they are used to very bad civic facilities always. And they probably feel that they won't really stand to gain from this anyway..
